During December, our favorite elf Elvin took us around the world to see how others celebrate the holiday season. He introduced us to tourist attractions in each of the countries we visited! We even enjoyed some traditional tasty treats from some of the countries. Let's not talk about the yule log failure though :( We had so much fun I didn't take very many pictures...oops! Below you will see we learned the tradition of Christmas poinsettias originated in Mexico after we read The Legend of the Poinsettia. We also read The Legend of La Befana, a magical lady from Italy who began searching for the chosen child thousands of years ago and continues to search still today. Along the way, La Befana leaves treats for all the good little boys and girls!
